As of April 18, 2023, I decided to re-up my blog about the contingent faculty movement in higher ed. Because I’ve taken up the story back in my home state (as it were; I was a 1960s type) of California, and in fact because next week I get to visit back at my favorite teaching site of Laney College at the Peralta District in Oakland, I am going to just jump in at the present date and let the many characters in this drama appear in natural order.

Thus today really is Tuesday, April 18, but while on the one hand we are trying to raise a fight against some crazy legislation in Texas, the Californian part-timers are still trying to wrest full-time (if not tenure line) jobs out of the California Ed Code. So just stay tuned, the story will unfold.
